Taiwan stocks fall at close; Taiwan fell 4.52% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the end in Taiwan, it lost 4.52%.

The best performers of the session were Chiu Ting Machinery Co Ltd (TW: ), which rose 9.98% or 3.00 points to trade at 33.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Onano Industrial Corp (TW: ) added 9.88% or 3.40 points to 37.80 and Pillar Needles Co Ltd ( TW: ) was up 9.44% or 13.50 points to 156.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which declined 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 at the close. Sino Horizon Holdings Ltd (TW: ) declined 9.94% or 3.35 points to end at 30.35 and Lotus Co Ltd (TW:) declined 9.93% or 150.00 points to 1,360.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Chiu Ting Machinery Co Ltd (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; up 9.98% or 3.00 to 33.05. Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) fell to a low; losing 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90. Shares in Onano Industrial Corp (TW:) rose to a three-year high; up 9.88% or 3.40 to 37.80. Shares in Ace Pillar Co Ltd (TW:) rose to all-time highs; up 9.44% or 13.50 to 156.50.

Crude oil for October delivery rose 0.39%, or 0.27, to $69.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for November delivery rose 0.37%, or 0.27, to $72.97 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.21 % or 5.40 to $2,531.40 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD fell 0.18% to 32.06, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.05% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures fell 0.08% to 101.22.
