The comedian drives Wakefield into hysterics with a hilarious Texas Hold ‘Em tribute to the city

A comedian from Wakefield has made a parody song dedicated to the city he loves.

@christycoysh uploaded the song, a parody of Beyoncé’s Texas Hold ‘Em, to his Instagram account. The video features Christy, dressed in a cowboy hat, dancing in front of a green screen while views of the city appear behind it.

In the song, he talks about some of the town’s best features, including the three Greggs stores they have in the town, the recently expanded Wetherspoon pub and of course Wakey Wines.

It also references Wakefield’s famous ‘Monster Mansion’ jail, the town’s links with rhubarb growing and its legendary Popworld nightclub. Christy also sings about ‘town queen’ Jane McDonald and the cheap price of a pint in town.
