Cybertruck owner says he was ‘shadow banned’ from X after complaining

In this story

It’s hard to be Tesla TSLA I do these days, I have to defend the cars burning the companyIts CEO that continues to drag the brand through the gutter and for years delays on almost every product announce. Now, it turns out that if you even think about changing your tune about the automaker, you could risk getting banned online.

That’s exactly what one Tesla superfan is claiming this week, according to them they defended their Cybertruck for months until things started to go wrong and they had a complaint or two to make about the EV, reports Futurism. Once the negativity started, he claims his online engagement decreased, particularly on the social media platform owned by Elon Musk. Twitter X.

Cybertruck owner Lamar MK purchased his electric giant in March, becoming one of the first people to own the electric truck in America. However, once the vehicle was delivered the problems startedand eventually made its way through two defective Cybertrucks in the hands of Tesla service centers.

CYBERTRUCK WILL NOT LET YOU IN! 🤦‍♂️

Since highlighting the problems he faced with the truck online, MK believes he is now being silenced on X. As Futurism reports:

Now, he says videos he uploaded to Musk’s X-ex-Twitter echo chamber are being suspiciously overlooked, suggesting his presence is secretly relegated to the backstage.

“I post all my videos on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and they get decent views,” Lamar MK tweeted. “I post the same videos on X and I barely get 100 views, it’s like zero reach.”

“Either nothing is wrong or I’m just shadow banned from getting here,” he wrote in a follow-up. “Elon Musk. Please fix this.”

MK believes that his videos and posts do not appear on X users’ timelines, dramatically reducing the number of views he receives. To support his claims, he screenshots shared from Instagram displaying videos with over a million views each. Instead, he claims that videos posted on X only get triple-digit views.

This made him question his premium X subscription, which costs $8 a month and gives users like MK a neat blue checkmark next to their name. He also suggested that maybe he’s “too honest” and that’s why he believes Musk and the big X’s strangle his account.

Perhaps this will be the final straw that will cause MK to question his Tesla masters. After all, the problems he has facing his Cybertruck are no small problems. Since delivery, he’s experienced problems with the charging cable, the head gasket falling off, he’s been locked out of his truck, and his display is always filled with “a barrage of red-blinking error messages,” Futurism reports.

However, he remained loyal to the cult of Musk, claiming that the Cybertruck is “the most significant innovation and technological advancement the world has seen since the introduction of the iPhone”.
