Greek stocks fall at close of trade; Athens General Composite fell 0.24% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Athens, down 0.24%.

The best performers of the session were Gr Sarantis SA (AT: ), which rose 2.94% or 0.32 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Jumbo SA (AT: ) was up 1.73% or 0.42 points to 24.72 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT: ) was up 1.50% or 0.04 points , up to 2.71 at the end of the trade.

The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT: ), which decreased 2.73% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.37 at the close. Quality and Reliability SA (AT:) declined 2.22% or 0.03 points to end at 1.14 and Autohellas (AT:) decreased 1.93% or 0.22 points to 11.20.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange 74 to 45, with 20 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.25%, or 6.30, to $2,536.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 1.49%, or 1.03%, to $68.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.44% or 1.05, to 71.64 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.09% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures fell 0.05% to 101.02.
