France stocks fall at close of trade; The CAC 40 was down 1.07% by Investing.com

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the end in Paris, it lost 1.07%, while the index lost 0.93%.

The best performers of the session were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA: ), which rose 1.98% or 0.65 points to trade at 33.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA: ) added 1.47% or 1.10 points to end at 75.68 and Danone SA (EPA: ) was up 1.24% or 0.80 points to 65.22 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA: ), which declined 3.55% or 8.70 points to trade at 236.25 at the close. STMicroelectronics NV (EPA: ) declined 3.04% or 0.81 points to end at 25.82 and Teleperformance SE (EPA: ) declined 2.96% or 2.97 points to 97.48.

The best performers on the SBF 120 were ICADE (EPA: ) which rose 3.66% to 22.68, ID Logistics SAS (EPA: ) which rose 3.59% to settle at 390.00 and Sartorius We are staying Biotech SA (EPA: ) which gained 2.55% to close at 178.70.

The worst performers were Elis Services SA (EPA: ) which fell 15.66% to 19.50 in late trade, Ruby SCA (EPA: ) which lost 10.85% to settle at 25.30 and Emeis SA (EPA: ) which fell 8.68% to 7.51 at the close.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 341 to 147, with 93 ending unchanged.

Shares of Kering SA (EPA: ) fell to 5-year lows; down 3.55% or 8.70 to 236.25. Shares in STMicroelectronics NV (EPA: ) fell to 3-year lows; down 3.04% or 0.81 to 25.82. Shares of Danone SA (EPA:) rose to a three-year high; up 1.24% or 0.80 to 65.22. The shares of Emeis SA (EPA:) fell to historical lows; down 8.68% or 0.71 to 7.51.

which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96, a new 52-week high.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.68%, or 17.20, to $2,525.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 2.26%, or 1.56, to $67.59 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.24% or 1.63, to 71.06 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures rose 0.14% to 101.21.
