Elizabeth Hurley’s nephew caught drink-driving £41,000 BMW after ‘pulling’ cars

Elizabeth Hurley’s grandson was caught drink-driving his £41,000 BMW after plowing into cars in south London, a court heard.

Model Miles Hurley, 27, was seen speeding up and then slowing down in a 20mph zone and pleaded guilty to drink-driving a BMW Gran Coupe SE in Lambeth on April 14 at Crown Court Magistrates of Croydon. He allegedly had 45 microgrammes of alcohol in his breath when the legal limit is 35.

“It was around midnight when the officers’ attention became too drawn to a vehicle because the car was speeding up and slowing down and was very close to other vehicles,” said prosecutor Sophie Thompson, the Daily Mail reported. The driver was stopped and alcohol was smelled on this defendant’s breath and he failed the roadside alcohol test and was arrested and taken into custody. His defense lawyer Mark Haslam argued Hurley was not driving at a “grossly excessive speed” and admits he should not have been behind the wheel but was “fully co-operative” with police. He said: “He didn’t drink for a while and then made the decision to go home, which he accepts was the wrong decision to drive, even though it was a relatively short journey.” Hurley was fined £750 with £85 costs, ordered to pay a £300 victim surcharge and disqualified from driving for 12 months.

In 2018, Hurley lost four liters of blood after being stabbed during an altercation with a group of men. He and another 21-year-old man were left with non-life-threatening injuries when the men allegedly got out of a vehicle, assaulted them and fled in the Nine Elms area of ​​south-west London. Elizabeth Hurley was in New York at the time of the attack on March 8, 2018, but rushed back to be with her grandson at the hospital. “Thanking God today that my grandson Miles is with us today for Easter,” she wrote on social media at the time.
