US Treasury’s Yellen says she may meet with Chinese counterpart By Reuters

(Reuters) – U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Saturday she may have another meeting soon with her Chinese counterpart and that the U.S.-China relationship must be “prioritized and nurtured” by the next U.S. administration.

Yellen, speaking at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, Texas, said she would welcome a visit to the US by her counterpart, Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, but that she might return to China herself.

“My guess is that we will, one way or another, have a visit,” Yellen said.
