Driver ‘threatened with knife’ during Nuneaton road incident

A driver was ‘threatened with a knife’ during a road traffic incident in Nuneaton. A motorcyclist was traveling on Corporation Street at around 1.30pm yesterday afternoon (May 16) when he collided with a car.

He then allegedly threatened the driver with a knife. Police were called and a 17-year-old was arrested nearby. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed weapon, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance.



Speaking about the incident, Inspector Chris Kitson said officers reacted quickly. Speaking generally about anti-social behavior in the area, he said: “Motorcycle riders being ridden in an anti-social manner is a concern for us and there are ongoing efforts by local patrols and neighborhood teams to disrupt those responsible. “
