Norfolk Southern board investigates CEO over alleged inappropriate workplace relationship, CNBC By Reuters reports

(Reuters) – South Norfolk (NYSE: ) board is looking into allegations that CEO Alan Shaw engaged in an inappropriate workplace relationship, CNBC reported Sunday, citing three people familiar with the matter.

Norfolk Southern did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

The investigation is in its early stages and it is possible that no misconduct will be uncovered, the report said, adding that the company is working with outside legal counsel on the investigation.
