Paid $62 for a Michelin star meal in Hong Kong, worth it

  • I spent $62 at Kam’s Roast Goose, a Michelin star restaurant in Hong Kong.
  • I loved the restaurant’s signature roast goose as it was juicy and full of flavour.
  • I thought the Prince Kinsen noodle dish was ok, but I still thought my meal was worth it.

When I recently returned to my ancestral home in Hong Kong, I was delighted to enjoy a classic Cantonese dish: roast goose. I grew up eating this meal on special occasions, so the dish has always felt nostalgic to me.

While looking for something close to my hotel, I came across Kam’s Roast Goose, sometimes named as one of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in Hong Kong. I thought it must be good since the restaurant has been awarded one Michelin star per year from 2015 to 2021.

I was eager to try this place and see if it lived up to the hype. Here’s how my experience was.
