Man injured after trying to break up XL and Micro battle

A man suffered injuries after trying to break up a dog fight.

Merseyside Police were called to New Ferry Road, New Ferry on Wednesday, May 15 at around 11.30pm. A report of a dog attacking another dog followed.




When the owner of the second dog, a Micro Bully, tried to intervene, he suffered injuries to his wrist and arm. Micro Bully required veterinary treatment for head and body injuries.

Officers seized the first dog, believed to be an XL Bully, and inquiries are ongoing to find the owner. Anyone with information can DM @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 24000443026.
