Taiwan stocks fall at close; Taiwan was down 0.38% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Taiwan, it fell 0.38 percent to hit a fresh one-month low.

The best performers of the session were Meiloon Industrial Co Ltd (TW: ), which rose 9.98% or 2.45 points to trade at 27.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Chroma ATE Inc (TW: ) added 6.79% or 22.00 points to end at 346.00 and Global PMX Co Ltd (TW: ) was up 6.07% or 7.50 points to trade at 131.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Thaimida Tech Inc (TW: ), which declined 9.96% or 5.20 points to trade at 47.00 at the close. Arima Communications Corp (TW: ) declined 9.95% or 0.21 points to end at 1.90 and Epileds Technologies Inc (TW: ) declined 9.94% or 3.10 points to 28. 10.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares of Chroma ATE Inc (TW:) rose to all-time highs; gaining 6.79% or 22.00 to 346.00. Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) fell to a low; losing 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90.

Crude oil for October delivery rose 1.00% or 0.66 to $66.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for November delivery rose 1.01%, or 0.70, to $69.89 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.32 % or 8.20 to $2,551.30 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD fell 0.22% to 32.12, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures fell 0.26% to 101.34.
