Greek stocks fall at close of trade; The Athens General Composite was down 0.88% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were BriQ properties REIC (AT: ), which was up 0.76% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Elton SA (AT:) added 0.72% or 0.01 points to end at 1.67 and Ideal Group SA (AT:) was up 0.68% or 0.04 points to trade at 5.88 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Domiki Kritis SA (AT: ), which decreased 4.64% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.29 at the close. Industrial and Commercial Biocarpet Enterprises SA (AT: ) declined 2.76% or 0.06 points to end at 1.94 and Intracom Holdings SA (AT: ) declined 2.71% or 0.09 points to 3.05 .

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 106 to 17, with 16 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.27%, or 6.90, to $2,536.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery fell 0.12%, or 0.08, to $65.67 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.19 % or 0.13, up to 69.06 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.44% to 0.85.

US dollar index futures rose 0.09% to 101.69.
