Turkey stocks fall at close of trade; The BIST 100 was down 2.12% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, it fell 2.12% to hit a new 3-month low.

The best performers of the session on the were Sekerbank TAS (IS: ), which rose 3.79% or 0.15 points to trade at 4.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:) added 1.89% or 0.88 points to end at 47.40 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD ( IS: ) was up 1.08% or 1.05 points to 98.20.

The worst performers of the session were Sok Marketler (IS: ), which declined 9.26% or 4.85 points to trade at 47.50 at the close. Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS: ) declined 8.32% or 197.00 points to end at 2,172.00 and Bera Holding AS (IS: ) declined 5.86% or 0.95 points to end at 2,172.00. , until 15.25.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 500 to 65, with 14 ending unchanged.

Shares of Sok Marketler (IS:) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.26% or 4.85 to 47.50.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.06 percent, or 1.65, to $2,541.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 1.02%, or 0.67%, to $66.42 a barrel, while the November Brent crude contract rose 0.68% or 0.47, to 69.66 dollars per barrel.

USD/TRY fell 0.06% to 33.99, while EUR/TRY fell 0.18% to 37.44.

US dollar index futures rose 0.03% to 101.63.
