Spain stocks rise at close of trade; The IBEX 35 rose 0.63% Via Investing.com

Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the end in Madrid, it increased by 0.63%.

The best performers of the session on the were Grifols SA (BME: ), which rose 6.29% or 0.58 points to trade at 9.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Industria de Diseno Textil SA (BME:) was up 4.54% or 2.10 points to 48.38 and SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:) was up 2.90% or 0. 33 points to 11.71 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fluidra (BME: ), which fell 2.20% or 0.48 points to trade at 21.36 at the close. Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME: ) declined 1.77% or 1.35 points to end at 75.10 and Merlin Properties SA (BME: ) declined 1.47% or 0.17 points to 11.36.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 111 to 82, with 22 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.05%, or 1.20, to $2,544.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 2.19%, or 1.44, to $67.19 a barrel, while the November Brent crude contract rose 1.73% or 1.20, to 70.39 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.32% to 0.85.

US dollar index futures rose 0.07% to 101.67.
