Brazil stocks are up at the close; Bovespa rose 0.27% Via Investing.com

Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Sao Paulo, it was up 0.27%.

The best performers of the session were YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF: ), which rose 8.03% or 0.78 points to trade at 10.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Cogna Educacao SA (BVMF: ) added 6.72% or 0.09 points to end at 1.43 and Atacadao SA (BVMF: ) was up 6.19% or 0.56 points to trade at 9.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were IRB Brasil Resseguros SA (BVMF: ), which declined 4.61% or 2.22 points to trade at 45.98 at the close. BRF SA (BVMF: ) declined 2.68% or 0.66 points to end at 23.97 and Caixa Seguridade Participacoes SA (BVMF: ) declined 2.58% or 0.40 points to 15.12.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 470 to 464, with 63 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery were down 0.05%, or 1.20, at $2,541.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 2.33%, or 1.53, to $67.28 a barrel, while the December C coffee contract fell 0.06% or 0.15, up to $247.05.

USD/BRL was unchanged 0.00% to 5.66, while EUR/BRL fell 0.17% to 6.22.

US dollar index futures rose 0.09% to 101.69.
