Distraught dad heard screams of ‘my boy is dead’ after horror block collapse

An angry father was heard screaming “my boy, my boy, my boy is dead” after a six-year-old fell to his death, a witness said. The young man died after falling more than 150 meters from the fifteenth floor of an east London tower block.

The tragedy happened at Jacobs House in Plaistow, Newham, just before 6am on Thursday, May 16. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, nothing could be done to save the boy and he sadly died at the scene.

The boy was believed to have woken up before his parents and fell from the kitchen window, a relative told MailOnline. She said his parents were “devastated” and “in a bad way”.
