A man stole a bracelet from the jewelry store in the mall

ENFIELD — Police are investigating the theft of a bracelet from a local, independently owned jewelry store Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, a man went to Furnari Jewelers in Enfield Square Mall around 4pm on Wednesday and asked to see a bracelet. When the employee handed over the bracelet, the man fled the store and the mall on foot, police said.

They said the man got into a black Ford Escape SUV with Rhode Island plates that was last seen southbound on Interstate 91.

Police did not have information on the value of the stolen bracelet.
