Taiwan stocks up at close; Taiwan rose 2.96% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, it was up 2.96%.

The best performers of the session were Creative Sensor Inc (TW: ), which rose 9.99% or 4.15 points to trade at 45.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Round top Machinery Industries Co Ltd (TW: ) added 9.94% or 4.35 points to end at 48.10 and Ta Liang Technology Co Ltd (TW: ) was up 9.92% or 7.70 points, up to 85.30.

The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which declined 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 at the close. Lead data Inc (TW: ) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Jinan Acetate Chemical Co Ltd (TW:) decreased 9.80% or 94.00 points to 865.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares of Creative Sensor Inc ( TW: ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 9.99% or 4.15 to 45.70. Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) fell to a low; down 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90. Roundtop Machinery Industries Co Ltd (TW:) shares rose to all-time highs; gaining 9.94% or 4.35 to 48.10.

Crude oil for October delivery rose 0.61%, or 0.42, to $69.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for November delivery rose 0.58%, or 0.42, to $72.39 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.53 % or 13.55 to $2,594.15 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD fell 0.23% to 32.01, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.00% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures fell 0.28% to 101.06.
