Greek stocks rise at close of trade; Athens General Composite rose 0.88% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Athens, it was up 0.88%.

The best performers of the session were Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminum Industry SA (AT:), which rose 3.89% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Fourlis Hld (AT:) added 3.63% or 0.14 points to end at 4.00 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT: ) was up 3.33% or 0.40 points to trade at 12.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Premia AE (AT: ), which fell 0.85% or 0.01 points to trade at 1.17 at the close. Industrial and Commercial Biocarpet Enterprises SA (AT: ) declined 0.77% or 0.02 points to 1.93 and Aluminum (AT:) decreased 0.70% or 0.02 points to 2.84.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Athens Stock Exchange 76 to 47, with 16 ending unchanged.

Shares in Kri-Kri Milk (AT:) rose to all-time highs; up 3.33% or 0.40 to 12.40.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 1.01%, or 26.10, to $2,606.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 1.78%, or 1.23%, to $70.20 a barrel, while the November Brent crude contract rose 1.63% or 1.17, to 73.14 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures fell 0.38% to 100.97.
