Portugal stocks up at close of trade; PSI rose 0.68% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

Late in Lisbon, it rose 0.68 percent to hit a new one-month high.

The best performers of the session were Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: ), which rose 1.75% or 0.29 points to trade at 16.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Mota Angel SGPS SA (ELI: ) added 1.54% or 0.04 points to end at 2.51 and Semapa (ELI: ) was up 1.25% or 0.18 points to trade at 14.58 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI: ), which decreased 0.44% or 0.02 points to trade at 4.51 at the close. Galp Energy Nom (ELI: ) declined 0.41% or 0.07 points to end at 17.10 and Amorim bark (ELI: ) decreased 0.22% or 0.02 points to 8.92.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 21 to 5, with 7 ending unchanged.

Brent crude for November delivery was up 0.50%, or 0.36, at $72.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude oil for October delivery rose 0.52%, or 0.36, to $69.33 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 1.26% or 32.55, to $2,613.15 per troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures fell 0.29% to 101.06.
