Mexico stocks are up at the close; S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.03% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the end in Mexico, it gained 0.03%.

The best performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV: ), which rose 3.16% or 7.63 points to trade at 249.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Del Bajio SA Instituția De Banca Multiplă (BMV: ) was up 3.01% or 1.35 points to 46.21 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV: ) was up 2.44% or 3.81 points, to 159.76 at the end of trading.

The worst performers of the session were Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:), which declined 4.17% or 7.77 points to trade at 178.51 at the close. Grupo Financiero Inbursa SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 2.88% or 1.33 points to 44.86 and Gentera SAB de CV (BMV: ) declined 2.76% or 0.62 points to 21 ,85.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 124 to 85, with 19 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.99%, or 25.60, to $2,606.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for October delivery rose 0.39%, or 0.27, to $69.24 a barrel, while the November Brent crude contract rose 0.13% or 0.09, to 72.06 dollars per barrel.

USD/MXN fell 1.53% to 19.21, while EUR/MXN fell 1.69% to 21.28.

US dollar index futures fell 0.24% to 101.11.
