Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and firearms offenses after another man was shot in the face in Leeds.

A 34-year-old man presented himself to a hospital on Monday with facial injuries, which doctors later found to be a gunshot wound.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man a short time later and began making inquiries in Mardale Crescent in Seacroft, where the shooting is believed to have taken place.

They also questioned a 34-year-old man who was released under investigation.

Detectives are also linking the Seacroft shooting to reports of shots fired in Woodhouse on Thursday, May 9.
