Coventry City marked Mental Health Awareness Week with a range of activities.

We sat down with head of community Dave Busst about his role with the Sky Blues in the community, the mental health projects SBitC is doing and his own journey of resilience after the career-ending injury he suffered in 1996.

One of the key aspects of Sky Blues’ provision of Community Mental Health is Winnie, the support dog.

Coventry City players Isaac Moore, Marco Rus and Cian Tyler spoke to Sky Blues community health manager John Szyndler about his dog and visits to schools, care homes and other places with Winnie to provide support for a number of members of our community.

Meanwhile, in partnership with Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry City staff at the Arena enjoyed a lunch and a field walk – all to benefit their mental health.
