6 million dollars taken from the defi protocol Delta Prime

The DeltaPrime defi protocol suffered a loss of $6 million after a private key was leaked. Access to the private key allowed the attacker to hit 1.1×10⁶⁹ DPUSDC, which are tokens that allow holders to redeem the USDC stablecoin at a 1:1 ratio. They repeated the mention with several other deposit receipt tokens for bitcoin, ether and other cryptocurrencies. In total, they redeemed a small portion of these enormous amounts of depositary receipts, amounting to about $6 million in assets.

DeltaPrime acknowledged the attack on Twitter and announced that “the risk is limited.” They also stated that they are “looking into other ways to minimize user losses,” including withdrawing from the protocol’s insurance fund.
