Spain stocks rise at close of trade; The IBEX 35 rose 0.37% Via Investing.com

Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the end of Madrid, 0.37% added to reach a new 5-year high.

The best performers of the session on the were Enagas (BME: ), which rose 2.18% or 0.30 points to trade at 14.08 at the close. Meanwhile Acciona (BME: ) was up 1.72% or 2.20 points to end at 129.90 and Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI (BME: ) was up 1.70% or 1.25 points to end at 129.90 74.95 at the end of transactions.

The worst performers of the session were Unicaja Banco SA (BME: ), which decreased 1.87% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.15 at the close. Indra A (BME: ) declined 1.72% or 0.29 points to end at 16.54 and Grifols SA (BME: ) declined 1.37% or 0.14 points to trade at 10.10.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 98 to 93, with 27 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.08 percent, or 2.15, to $2,608.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 1.48% or 1.00 to $68.75 a barrel, while the November Brent crude contract rose 1.27% or 0.91, to 72.52 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.

US dollar index futures fell 0.38% to 100.41.
