China sets countermeasures against 9 US firms over arms sales to Taiwan, by Reuters

BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday announced countermeasures against nine firms linked to the U.S. military in connection with U.S. arms sales to Taiwan.

Countermeasures against the firms, including Sierra Nevada Corporation and Stick Rudder Enterprises LLC, took effect Wednesday, including freezing the firms’ assets in China, according to a ministry statement.

Organizations and individuals in China are prohibited from engaging in transactions with these firms, the statement said.
