Martial, Shaw, Varane – Manchester United injury news and Brighton return dates

Manchester United will look to qualify for Europe in the final game of the Premier League season with a trip to Brighton on Sunday afternoon.

Erik ten Hag’s side bounced back from defeat against Arsenal to beat Newcastle United 3-2 at Old Trafford on Wednesday. The teams are now locked on 57 points before the final day.

The prospect of playing European football next season remains a possibility, although United will need to beat Brighton and hope Newcastle drop points against Brentford. Alternatively, they could still qualify for the Europa League if they beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final on May 25.

Ahead of the club’s two remaining fixtures, United are without several members of their first-team squad and hope that at least a small selection will return to Wembley.

Luke Shaw will miss Sunday’s game with Brighton and the Ten Hag is unsure if he will be fit for the FA Cup final.

Raphael Varane

injury: Muscles.

Varane could return against Brighton on Sunday after announcing he will leave the club in the summer.

Malacia face a race against time to participate in the final two games of the season. However, no time frame has been set for his return.

Mount Mason

injury: Unknown.

The 25-year-old has missed most of the campaign with a calf injury, but his problem this time around is unclear.

Anthony Martial

injury: Lap.

The Frenchman returned to training this week after a lengthy injury lay-off. He hasn’t played since December and had to have surgery on a groin problem.
