WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday commented on the U.S. Federal Reserve’s interest rate cut saying “it was a big cut.”

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday launched what is expected to be a series of interest rate cuts with an unusually large cut of half a percentage point.

“To cut that much, assuming it’s not just politics, the economy would be very bad,” Trump told reporters.
