Live Ridgeway Road in Sheffield has been closed due to the police incident

A major road in Sheffield has been closed due to an incident with police.

According to our traffic partners, Inrix Ridgeway Road in Heeley is closed northbound. It is closed from 4:00.

The road is closed from Hollinshead Road to City Road. Hurfield Road is also closed in both directions.

Inrix says: “The A6102 Ridgeway Road northbound has been closed due to the police incident from the B6063 Hollinsend Road to the A6135 City Road (Manor Top). Hurlfield Road in both directions has been closed due to the police incident from East Bank Road to the A6102 Ridgeway Road.”

It is still unclear what the incident is. We will be contacting South Yorkshire Police and will bring you updates as we have them.
