Who will Dale face in 2024/25? – News

The 24 teams that will make up the 2024/25 National League have been confirmed.

After this weekend’s non-league playoff finals, we now know our league opponents for next season.

Dale will face a new and familiar foe, with six different opponents from last season.

Relegated from League Two are Forest Green Rovers and Sutton United, both of whom Dale have faced in recent years.

We will also meet Yeovil Town and Boston United, who were regular opponents in the 2000s. Yeovil won the National League South, while Boston were promoted through the National League North play-offs, beating Brackley Town 2- 1 in Saturday’s final.

Tamworth have won the National League North title and we will meet The Lambs in league action for the first time. Our previous meetings were in the 2001/02 FA Cup when Dale won 1-0 in a first round replay.

National League South play-off winners Braintree Town will be new opponents. The Essex side won 4-3 over Worthing in extra time on Bank Holiday Monday.

The schedule launch day and start date for the 24/25 season has yet to be officially confirmed by the National League.
