Loose Women’s Denise Welch furiously defends Meghan Markle

Loose Women panelist Denise Welch has had enough of the relentless backlash against Meghan Markle. She was hot yesterday when Dickie Arbiter, former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III before he was crowned last year, was in the studio to talk about the monarch’s battle with cancer.

But while the conversation started smoothly, it took a turn when Dickie addressed the elephant in the room – can the monarch ever repair her strained relationship with her son Prince Harry? Royal fans will remember the latter for his obscure life as a senior royal working alongside his wife Meghan for a fresh start across the Atlantic, and since then, the Duchess of Sussex has come under more fire than ever before.

Meghan also faced backlash when rumors of her dating Prince Harry first circulated in 2016. The couple publicly criticized the negative media attention they received both individually and as a couple, and as parents of their two children, Archie and Lilibet, reports. The mirror.

For Denise, Meghan and Harry, the decision to leave Windsor and Frogmore Cottage was a no-brainer. She passionately defended the couple, calling out Dickie for his own criticism of Meghan Markle. “If I may say, don’t you think there’s a reason why Harry would do something like this?” the 65-year-old initially asked, referring to the Duke’s decision to leave Britain for the US.

Denise then summed up the heartbreak surrounding King Charles III’s family, with wounds first arising from the monarch’s marriage to Lady Diana “when he was in love with Camilla”. “It destroyed a big part of Diana’s life,” Denise claimed. She then recalled how a young Prince Harry witnessed his mother’s death after a fatal paparazzi chase, before he was forced to publicly walk behind her coffin and accept Queen Camilla as his stepmother.

“Then he has a wife who is completely and continually destroyed by the media, including your good self,” Denise added, turning to Dickie. “I’m sick of the killing death this woman is getting (…) we continually berate this woman every day.”

When Dickie claimed the Sussexes had come under fire for their choice to leave the Royal Family, Denise doubled down angrily: ‘Why wouldn’t they? Why would they want to spend their lives in a country that hated them?”.
