Transfer window, kick-off day – Leicester City’s 24-25 Premier League season highlights

Leicester City will soon start preparing for their return to the Premier League. It’s been two weeks since they lifted the Championship title and while Enzo Maresca and his staff are currently on holiday, it won’t be long before they return to Seagrave and start planning the new campaign.

It will help you with this preparation to write down some dates in your diary. And luckily, it’s now been revealed when the summer transfer window opens and closes and when the Premier League kicks off. Here is the summary of those key data.




Transfer window

The Premier League has now confirmed the dates for the next two transfer windows, for both this summer and winter. Both could be significant for City as they look to build a squad capable of staying in the division.

The upcoming summer window will open on Friday 14 June and close on Friday 30 August at 11pm. The January window will open on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and Monday, February 3, at 11:00 p.m.

And City needn’t worry about their players being poached without the possibility of signing a replacement as all the major leagues have agreed to close their windows on the same days. The Premier League said: “To ensure alignment with Europe’s major leagues, the closing dates have been set following discussions with the EFL, DFL, Serie A, La Liga and LFP, who will close all their summer and winter windows on August 30. and February 3, respectively.”

The return to the top means that match day will be a big one for City fans this year. They will be keen to know when Maresca’s men take on division heavyweights, their Midlands rivals and fellow promoted clubs.
