Man ‘cut’ and woman ‘seriously injured’ as two groups brawl outside city bar

A man has been slashed after a fight broke out between two groups of men in Liverpool city centre.

Police were called to the Black Rabbit on Fleet Street in the early hours of Saturday following reports of a fight between two groups of men. When police arrived, they found a woman with serious injuries to her hand and arm. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The men involved in the fight had left the scene, police said. People in the area reported that a man was cut during the incident. However, this has not been confirmed by the police.

Blood could be seen splattered on the pavement in front of the Black Rabbit. Following a search of the area, four men matching the descriptions of those involved were arrested.

Those arrested include: a 19-year-old and a 27-year-old man, both of no fixed abode, another 19-year-old from Walton and a 20-year-old from Ellesmere Port. They were all taken to a police station where they will be interviewed by detectives.
