Taiwan stocks up at close; Taiwan rose 1.68% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW: ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Headway Advanced Materials Inc (TW:) added 10.00% or 2.30 points to end at 25.30 and Sunko Ink Co Ltd (TW: ) was up 9.98% or 2.20 points to trade at 24.25 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Huang Hsiang Construction Corp ( TW: ), which declined 10.00% or 6.50 points to trade at 58.50 at the close. Farglory Land Development Co Ltd (TW:) declined 10.00% or 7.90 points to 71.10 and Da-Li Development Co Ltd (TW:) declined 9.98% or 6.00 points. up to 54.10.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares of Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-year highs; gaining 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Headway Advanced Materials Inc ( TW: ) rose to 52-week highs; earning 10.00% or 2.30 to 25.30. Shares of Sunko Ink Co Ltd (TW:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.98% or 2.20 to 24.25.

Crude oil for November delivery rose 0.79%, or 0.56, to $71.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for December delivery rose 0.75%, or 0.55, to $74.24 a barrel, while December gold futures rose 0.27 % or 7.15, to $2,653.35 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD rose 0.17% to 32.04, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.23% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures rose 0.06% to 100.48.
