Greek stocks rise at close of trade; Athens General Composite rose 1.22% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Athens, it gained 1.22%.

The best performers of the session on the were J. & P. ​​Avax (AT: ), which rose 8.64% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Intracom Holdings SA (AT: ) was up 4.65% or 0.14 points to end at 3.15 and National Bank of Greece SA (AT: ) was up 4.46% or 0. 32 points, up to 7.50 at the end of trading.

The worst performers of the session were Optima Bank SA (AT: ), which declined 2.55% or 0.34 points to trade at 13.00 at the close. Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:) declined 1.31% or 0.13 points to end at 9.77 and Quest Holdings (AT:) decreased 0.93% or 0.05 points to 5.31.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Athens Stock Exchange 75 to 39, with 27 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.37 percent, or 9.75, to $2,655.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery rose 0.14%, or 0.10, to $71.10 a barrel, while the December Brent crude contract rose 0.15% or 0.11 to $73.80 per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.51% to 0.83.

US dollar index futures rose 0.11% to 100.54.
