Belgian stocks rise at close of trade; BEL 20 rose 0.47% Via Investing.com

Investing.com – Belgium equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Brussels, it was up 0.47%.

The best performers of the session were Elia (EBR: ), which rose 2.50% or 2.50 points to trade at 102.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Umicore SA (EBR: ) added 2.47% or 0.26 points to end at 10.77 and Pauw deposits Comm VA (EBR: ) was up 1.91% or 0.46 points to trade at 24.58 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were D’Ieteren NV (EBR: ), which declined 0.79% or 1.50 points to trade at 188.00 at the close. Sofina (EBR: ) declined 0.47% or 1.20 points to end at 253.40 and Argen-X (EBR: ) declined 0.37% or 1.80 points to 480.20.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 53 to 41, with 16 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.28 percent, or 7.35, to $2,653.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery fell 1.30%, or 0.92, to $70.08 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.09 % or 0.80, up to 72.89 dollars per barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.55% to 0.83.

US dollar index futures rose 0.13% to 100.56.
