Russian stocks rise at close of trade; MOEX Russia rose 1.28% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Russia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Moscow, it rose 1.28 percent to hit a fresh one-month high.

The best performers of the session were Gazprom PAO (MCX: ), which rose 6.47% or 7.92 points to trade at 130.32 at the close. Meanwhile, Aeroflot ( MCX: ) added 4.18% or 2.21 points to end at 55.04 and Ozon Holdings PLC ( MCX: ) was up 3.50% or 117.50 points to to 3,478.50 at the end of trading.

The worst performers of the session were PIK (MCX: ), which declined 1.94% or 12.80 points to trade at 647.60 at the close. Surgut-pref (MCX: ) declined 1.04% or 0.58 points to end at 55.05 and Magnit (MCX: ) declined 0.76% or 45.00 points to 5,874 ,50.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Moscow Stock Exchange 214 to 29, with 13 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.26%, or 7.00, to $2,653.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery fell 0.38%, or 0.27, to $70.73 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.12 % or 0.09, up to 73.47 dollars per barrel.

USD/RUB fell 0.01% to 91.47, while EUR/RUB rose 0.02% to 101.66.

US dollar index futures rose 0.23% to 100.65.
