  • Shares are up more than 6% in the past week, but remain down 23% from December 18. high.

Novo Nordisk CEO goes to Washington

  • Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen, CEO of the pharmaceutical giant, will answer senators’ questions about why the company’s weight loss drugs cost what they do.
  • CNBC TV’s Angelica Peebles will cover everything from Washington.
  • Actions of Novo Nordisk down 3% today. Shares are up 19% in 2024, but down 16% from their June 25 high.
  • Eli Lillywhich is also a major maker of weight loss drugs, is up 58% in 2024. The stock is up 5.5% from its Aug. 22 high.

AutoZone

  • The company reports Tuesday morning. AutoZone increased by 2% in the last three months.
  • AutoZone is up 6.5% from its March high.
  • AutoZone and O’Reilly Automotive both are up 17% this year.
  • O’Reilly is down about 5% from its March high.
  • Advance Auto Parts is behind in the sector. Shares are down 33% so far this year and are off 54% from their March high.

  • Actions of Trump Media and Technologyformer President Donald Trump’s social media company, hit a new low on Monday. Shares closed at $12.15.

Nuclear

  • Constellation Energy and Vistra both hit all-time highs for months. Energy it hit a four-and-a-half-year high.
  • Constellation is up 29% in one week.
  • Energy rose about 8% in September.
  • Vistra is up about 25% in a week.
  • It all comes amid positive feedback from Wall Street analysts on nuclear power and new commitments to invest in the industry from major banks around the world.
  • Canada’s Cameo is up more than 13% in the past week, but is still 19% off its May 31 high.
