On the other hand, I also understand the pettiness of Tottenham fans who don’t want Arsenal to win the title.

But it appears that Postecoglou’s anger is not just with some of the Spurs supporters who wanted their team to lose to City on Tuesday, but also with some people within the club.

I admired Postecoglou when he was at Celtic, the way he changed the club, as well as the football he played.

I still think he overachieved in his first season at Spurs as they lost Harry Kane before he even started and the football was excellent but they have fallen off recently.

I’m sure Postecoglou would accept that it was a disappointing end to the campaign with five defeats in their last six games, even if they had some difficult fixtures in that run, but it all underlines that there are other problems at the club. . I don’t know what will happen next – I either believe in him or I don’t.

He will be desperate to end the season on a high, as will Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, whose already relegated side sit bottom of the table with just three wins all season and on a run of six consecutive losses. Even if the Blades hit back, I’m still rooting for Spurs.

I am absolutely disgusted with Tottenham fans.
