Mexico stocks fall at close of trade; S&P/BMV IPC fell 0.86% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors propelled shares lower.

The best performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV: ), which rose 5.78% or 1.22 points to trade at 22.34 at the close. Meanwhile, GCC SAB de CV (BMV: ) was up 3.65% or 5.59 points to end at 158.94 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV: ) was up 2.60% or 0 .23 points to 9.09 in late trading.

The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV: ), which declined 5.90% or 17.61 points to trade at 280.93 at the close. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 5.40% or 8.93 points to 156.50 and Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (BMV: ) declined 2.89% or 0. 95 points, up to 31.92.

Advancers outnumbered decliners on the Mexico Stock Exchange 138 to 86, with 15 ending unchanged.

Shares of Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.78% or 1.22 to 22.34.

Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.16%, or 4.40, to $2,681.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for November delivery fell 2.40%, or 1.72, to $69.84 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract climbed 0.18 % or 0.13, up to 73.19 dollars per barrel.

USD/MXN rose 0.10% to 19.64, while EUR/MXN was unchanged 0.02% to 21.86.

US dollar index futures rose 0.48% to 100.64.
