Guide of the day: Albion – Manchester United

The countdown to kick-off starts here! Take a look at what’s happening around the Amex on our final matchday of the season.

Food and drink

Match days for the remainder of the season will see reduced food and drink available in the fanzones while construction takes place.

There will be a fish and chip outlet as well as a tea and coffee outlet which can be found opposite the Club Superstore.

We also have street vendors who will roam the fan zones and sell lager.

During this period, there will be a greater opportunity to purchase food and drink within the stadium concourses. There will be additional mobile bar units and additional staff, as well as an increase in products within the kiosks. See our food and drink kiosk map here.

Tomorrow’s special will be a hot dog loaded with chilli con carne and crispy onions, available to buy for £7.50 from selected kiosks in each hall.

For this match only, we will test the chips and loaded chips for the first time. These will only be available from the North 2 lobby.

We will also welcome Village Pizza Kitchen, which will take over the South East Pizza unit.

Fan zone

Our partner British Airways is joining us at the stadium today and they’ve landed in Brighton with some nice surprises, including a flight simulator where a few lucky fans will get the chance to try their hand at flying a BA aircraft. We will also be joined on the ground by BA Euroflyer cabin crew for a guard of honor before take off.

Disco Bug will be joining us in the fanzone for an extended set on Sunday as a celebration of the end of the 2023/24 season – head there for some tunes before and after the game!

This is a reminder that fans can purchase drinks in the lounges and take them outside the stadium to enjoy in the fanzones.

Take your match day selfie in the photo booth located in the Lower East Stand.

In the lead up to the match we will be showing our annual obituary video.

For those with a sound sensitivity, please be aware that flames and effects will go off as the teams step onto the field, creating a loud bang and smoke.

The players will take part in a lap of appreciation after the final whistle.

As we approach the final stages of the season, supporters need to know that the pitch is for the players and the stands are for the spectators. It is against the law to enter the grounds at any time and anyone doing so will face a ban and police action.

Reminder of the new multiball system

The Premier League has updated the rules and guidelines for the multiball system, which came into effect from match round 30.

This was done to minimize the interruption of matches when the ball goes out of play.

  • When the ball goes out of play and cannot be quickly retrieved, players must go to the nearest cone to collect a replacement ball themselves to resume play.
  • 4x additional balls will be on the sidelines
  • Ball assistants are not allowed to return a ball to a player
  • Ball assistants are required to return a ball to an empty cone each time a substitute ball is used
  • Ball assistants must not be positioned near the cones so that it is clear that they will not return the balls to the players

Bags larger than A4 (297mm x 210mm) will not be allowed into the stadium. Any bags left outside the stadium will be removed and disposed of.

Here is a reminder of our stadium entry rules, security checks will be completed before entering the turnstiles.

safeguarding

The club takes the protection of all fans attending the Amex seriously and encourages any concerns or concerns about young people or adults at risk to be reported to the nearest administrator where our matchday team can respond appropriately.

Autographs and selfies

All players will not stop to sign or pose for selfies when arriving or leaving the stadium as it is no longer safe to do so.

Instead, we will be offering a number of spaces for our junior season ticket holders and junior MyAlbion+ members on each home matchday to come to the stadium early for enhanced selfie and autograph opportunities with the team in a safe environment as players arrive.
