Kate Garraway tells fans ‘see you soon’ as she issues ‘healing’ update.

Kate Garraway told her many fans she would “see you soon” as she posted a “healing” update on social media.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 57, lost her husband Derek Draper earlier this year. Derek died in January, aged 56, after becoming seriously ill after a long bout with covid and subsequently suffering a heart attack.

Kate looked after her husband when he was finally able to come home after about 13 months in hospital. The ITV star produced a series of award-winning documentaries about her husband’s condition and the care he needed.

In a new Instagram update on Saturday, Kate explained one of the things she does to feel better during the grieving process. She said: “We’ve just had the most amazing day in the garden. I thought ‘okay, I’ll deal with it’, because I liked to garden when Derek was unwell, because I felt like I was planting and doing. things and he, when we could get him out, he could come and be with me.”

Kate faced the camera as she spoke to her many followers, as well as occasionally showing them parts of her garden.

She added: “If I show you around, it doesn’t look like much has been done, but I promise you I’ve filled a whole basket… but what’s been great is actually being here and looking at all the things we love about the garden just to stop and be still for a bit.”
