Taiwan stocks up at close; Taiwan rose 0.66% by Investing.com

Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.

Late in Taiwan, it added 0.66% to hit a new one-month high.

The best performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW: ), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, sharer Technology Corp (TW: ) added 9.96% or 2.65 points to end at 29.25 and Wan Hai Lines Ltd (TW: ) was up 9.94% or 8.20 points to trade at 90.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lead data Inc (TW: ), which declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Aces Electronics Co Ltd (TW:) declined 9.66% or 5.90 points to end at 55.20 and Headway Advanced Materials Inc (TW:) declined 9.43% or 2.50 points to trade at 24.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares of Arima Communications Corp (TW:) rose to 3-year highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares of Copartner Technology Corp ( TW: ) climbed to 5-year highs; gaining 9.96% or 2.65 to 29.25.

Crude oil for November delivery fell 2.67%, or 1.86, to $67.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for December delivery fell 2.65%, or 1.93, to $70.97 a barrel, while December gold futures fell 0.02 % or 0.45 to $2,684.25 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD fell 0.50% to 31.84, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.32% to 0.22.

US dollar index futures fell 0.11% to 100.52.
