50 Cent’s Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Netflix Documentary: What You Need To Know

50 Cent is developing a documentary for Netflix about the sexual assault allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Combs and 50 Cent have been feuding since 2006. 50 Cent previously teased the project on social media after Homeland Security agents raided Combs’ mansion in March. But Netflix’s involvement was first reported on Wednesday.

Combs was arrested on September 16 and charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. The rapper pleaded not guilty but was denied bail.

Four civil lawsuits have previously been filed against Combs — whose net worth is estimated to be around $90 million, according to Forbes.

In November 2023, Combs’ former partner, Casandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him, alleging sexual assault, rape and abuse. Combs settled with Ventura on Nov. 17, a day after the lawsuit was filed.

In early December, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, wrote on X about his documentary.

He posted a clip with former Bad Boy Records rapper Mark Curry claiming that Combs drank the women’s drinks at a party.

A representative later confirmed to Variety that a documentary about Combs was being developed by 50 Cent’s production company, G-Unit Film and Television.

“I can confirm that the untitled ‘Diddy’ documentary is in development through G-Unit Film and Television, and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is executive producing,” the rep said.

They promised that all profits would go to victims of sexual assault and rape.

On Wednesday, 50 Cent announced he was moving forward with the documentary about the sexual assault allegations and sex trafficking and racketeering allegations against Combs. Netflix is producing the project, but a release date has not been confirmed

In a statement to Variety, 50 Cent and director Alexandria Stapleton said, “This is a story with significant human impact. It’s a complex narrative that spans decades, not just headlines or clips seen so far.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to giving voice to the voiceless and to presenting authentic and nuanced perspectives.

“While the allegations are disturbing, we urge everyone to remember that the story of Sean Combs is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the wider contributions of culture.”

In March, 50 Cent joked that the documentary might be called “Diddy Do It?”

After the raids in March, 50 Cent made several jokes about Combs on social media.

On March 25, 50 Cent tweeted, “Now it’s not Diddy, it’s Diddy done.”

“They don’t come like this unless they have a case,” he wrote of the federal raid.

50 Cent then posted a picture for X in March, which he hinted was artwork for the upcoming documentary, captioned: “Diddy Do It?” The image shows three photos of Combs made to look like they are in legal files.

He wrote: “This will break records when it drops.”

50 Cent has not indicated if the documentary has been finished, who else appears in it, or if it has a release date. Artist BossLogic confirmed to Business Insider in March that he did the poster used by 50 Cent, but it was unofficial.
