Borussia Monchengladbach want to sign Max Wöber permanently from Leeds United this summer, but they have an asking price of £14.6m.

As we head into June, the final games of the domestic seasons in Europe’s top divisions are drawing to a close.

There are three loanees from Leeds in the Bundesliga who have set out to impress, albeit with mixed results, as Robin Koch has already secured a permanent move, Max Wöber is pushing for one and Brenden Aaronson could be relegated very soon.

Max Wöber’s Borussia Monchengladbach are discussing over £14.6m

Borussia Monchengladbach has been Max Wöber’s home this season and has done enough to warrant permanent talks between his current club and his parent club.

Bild reported this week that Gladbach are hoping to sign the Austria international for €9m (£7.7m), while Leeds are holding out for a fee almost double the €17m (£14.6m sterling).

Gladbach are currently frustrated by the negotiating game being played by Leeds, who are looking for a hefty return on the fee they paid to sign the defender in January 2023.

Who will win the playoffs?

The 49ers mean business this summer with player exits

After relegation, the player strength was too much for the club to struggle with when it came to exits, forced to let several go without receiving commissions for them.

Daniel Farke wasn’t happy when he had to discuss the matter, but reiterated that the 49ers were intent on making sure it didn’t happen in any future transfer windows.

The first evidence of this is Leeds’ plan here with Wöber, who is not looking to consider any cut-price offers, but is instead looking to make a profit.

Leeds are now looking to have the ball in the court when negotiating and any club looking to take advantage again could be met with a much more aggressive response from the 49ers.
