West Mercia Police have launched an appeal following a fatal collision on the A44

A 26-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene

West Mercia Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a fatal collision in Herefordshire.

Officers first received reports of a crash at around 12.40am on Saturday (May 18) on the A44 at Docklow in the north of the county.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they discovered that a red Renault Clio had collided with a silver Skoda Fabia.

The driver of the Renault Clio – who was found to be a 26-year-old man – required immediate medical attention but, despite their best efforts, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Inquiries into the crash are currently underway and West Mercia Police are now looking to speak to people as they piece together the events leading up to the collision.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, has dash cam footage from the time of the crash, or anyone who may have relevant information is particularly welcome by investigators.
