Biden says he hasn’t changed his mind on Nippon Steel deal by Reuters

DOVER, Delaware (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden said on Friday he has not changed his mind about Nippon Steel’s $14.9 billion bid for U.S. Steel, despite extending a national security review of the proposed deal.

“I haven’t changed my mind,” he told reporters when asked if the extension indicated a change of heart.

Biden, as well as his vice president and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, said US Steel should remain American-owned.
