1 injured, 1 arrested in southwest Birmingham shooting

An investigation is underway after a man was shot and seriously injured in Birmingham on Saturday night.

The shooting happened around 7:45 p.m. in the 600 block of 10th Street SW, which is near Princeton Baptist Medical Center.

Truman Fitzgerald officers said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

A suspect is in custody.
