This weekend marks the end of an era as Jurgen Klopp steps down as manager of Liverpool FC.

In January, Klopp announced his decision to leave at the end of the season following his trophy-laden nine-year tenure. The German will take charge of his final game as Liverpool manager against Wolves on Sunday, May 19.




Ahead of his final game, we take a look back at the landmark day of Klopp’s first game – on 17 October 2015. Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers and the Reds took to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham Hotspur, led by Mauricio Pochettino. , the ECHO previously reported.

In goal was Simon Mignolet behind a defense of Nathaniel Clyne, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel and Alberto Moreno. Midfield featured captain James Milner, Lucas Leiva and Emre Can, while Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi were called upon to provide the threat up top.
